After a short ferry ride from Juneau to Skagway, it's only right that I have to challenge
the White Pass steamer to a race before I leave town on a quick weekend tour of the Yukon.
The Ford did good climbing to the top of the 3292 ft. high White Pass summit. Third gear all the
way and no lugging. Probably has something to do with the fresh counter-balanced B engine.
Don't forget, I started at sea level, the top of the pass is only 14 miles away so it is a climb.
Whitehorse, Yukon territory, is only 110 miles away.
